The Beckman Coulter CytoFlex LX Flow Cytometer provides up to six lasers and 21 color parameters. This unit is the Near UV-Violet-Blue-Yellow-Green-Red-Infrared Series equipped with five lasers. The fully activated instrument includes three fluorescent channels from the 375 nm (Near UV) laser, five from the 405 nm (Violet) laser, three from the 488 nm (Blue) laser, five from the 561 nm (Yellow Green) laser, three from the 638 nm (Red) laser.
The Beckman Coulter CytoFlex LX Flow Cytometer uses a unique assembly of technologies.
- Wavelength Division Multiplexer (WDM) - To deconstruct and measure multiple wavelengths in light.
- Avalanche Photodiode Detectors (APD) - Utilized by the WDM. High quantum efficiency in excess of 80%, especially for wavelengths greater than 800 nm.
- Integrated optics - Focuses light onto the flow cell ensuring efficient light management for optimal excitation and emission of fluorochrome-tagged cells.
